Nicron

Nicron® 002 is a high-purity microcrystalline talc. The lamellar nature of Nicron® 002 enhances film strength and flexibility in sealant formulations and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers and topcoats to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Nicron® 002 is used in topcoats, block fillers, traffic paints, texture paints, and composite compounds.

Nicron® 302 is a high-purity, 3-Hegman microcrystalline talc product with low oil adsorption and minimal viscosity build. Nicron® 302 is part of the Engineered Series of Magris Talc products that have unique particle size distributions for improved paint performance properties. Nicron® 302 is an excellent choice for protective coating applications due to its hydrophobic nature, very low mineral solubility, and proven anti-corrosion performance. Nicron® 302 disperses easily in high-solids and solventborne coatings and gives very good paint stability, rheology, and anti-settling properties.

Nicron® 303 is a high-purity microcrystalline talc with more than 98% talc content. The lamellar nature of Nicron 303 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers and topcoats to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability.

Nicron® 353 is a high-purity microcrystalline talc. The lamellar nature of Nicron® 353 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Nicron® 353 is also used for rheology and film reinforcement in adhesive, sealant, caulk, joint compound, wood putty, and auto body patch applications.

Nicron® 402 is a high-purity, 4-Hegman microcrystalline talc product with low oil adsorption and minimal viscosity build. Nicron® 660 has excellent flatting characteristics, superior anti-settling properties, and is the product of choice in gel-coats. Nicron® 660 is used in rubber, wire, cable, and plastic applications.

Nicron® 665 is an off-white, high-purity, platy, ultrafine talc. It is a highly effective gloss control additive in paints and coatings. Nicron® 665 could be used in performance plastics and plastic films for excellent nucleation and very good stiffness, HDT, dimensional stability, and esthetics.
