- ACCESS® XTMS 200 50/100 is primarily used in the hydrophobization of silica to improve the resistance of the silica to de-polymerization in high pH and high temperature environments.
- ACCESS® XTMS 200 50/100 will improve the durability of foam control of defoamers made from the treated silica.
- When added during the hydrophobization of silica, ACCESS® XTMS 200 50/100 significantly increases the achievable level of hydrophobization.
- Silica treated with ACCESS® XTMS 200 50/100 are used to make defoamers for detergent systems, pulp and paper, and other high performance defoamer applications.
- Usage Guidelines
The ACCESS XTMS-200 50/100 is added directly and in combination with the silicone oil during the silica hydrophobization process. Typical usage levels are 30-40% of the silica dose i.e. - with 10% silica use 4% XTMS-200 /100
