AFCONA 2592 is an effective defoamer for all types of water-based systems. It is suitable for high shear force processes and will not affect the performance of the system. Furthermore, it can easily move to the surface and destroy the surface air-bubbles in high viscosity systems. It is especially effective for airless spray and roller applications for eliminating small blisters.

AFCONA – 2592 is recommended for below systems:

  1. All water-based industrial paints.
  2. Water-based inks.
  3. Water-based pigment concentrates.
Incorporation
AFCONA-2592 should be mixed at the beginning of the production/application into the system. If added at the end process, high shear force dispersing is needed.
Addition and Dosage
0.1 - 2.0% on total formulation. In general at normal condition, the dosage is 0.2 - 1.0%. formulation with pigment, the dosage is 0.3-0.8%.
