AFCONA 2620-85D1 is a strong and highly efficient defoamer for solvent-free and solvent-based, high-viscosity systems. It is a solvent-free defoamer that is recommended for use in such systems, and it has an extremely strong performance in foam destruction and anti-foaming for solvent-free epoxy, solvent-based polyurethane, and unsaturated polyester. It is highly efficient, with good defoaming properties even at very low additions. AFCONA 2620-85D1 is suitable for high-viscosity coating systems to prevent foaming and foam destruction at the interface, and is recommended for use in situations where a solvent-free process is required.

AFCONA-2620-85D1 is recommended to below applications:

  1. Solvent-free and solvent based two pack epoxy systems;
  2. Solvent-free and thick-film polyurethanes;
  3. It is suitable for paints contain pigments. Compatibility testing and evaluation is required when used in varnishes.
Incorporation
AFCONA-2620-85D1 can be added at any stage during production process. well mixing is required if added after process.
Addition and Dosage
0.30 - 1.00% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions: For solvent-free systems: the dosage is 0,50 - 1,00% based on total formulation. For solvent based systems:the dosage is 0,30 - 0,80% based on total formulation.
