- The amount of magnetic particles is controlled at a low level making the materials ideally suitable for electronic applications.
- BORATHERM™ SG-E grades are also used as flame-retardants. The mechanism of flame-retardancy is mainly based on the endothermic decomposition of the aluminum hydroxide (heat-sink effect) while simultaneously releasing water vapor. This reaction starts at about 200°C.
- BORATHERM™ SG-E grades are also used in applications where heat-dissipation and fire-retardancy are both critical properties, e.g. in Thermal Interface Materials (including Electronic Vehicle Battery heat management), casting resins for power transformers and potting & encapsulating materials in electric and electronic applications.
