Deco-Chem Mirror Etch MER-9091

Deco-Chem’s Mirror Etch Resist inks are applied to the back of a mirror. Special chemicals will take away all of the mirror coating except for the etch resist, leaving a second surface mirror image where the Mirror Etch Resist was printed.

Deco-Chem’s Mirror Etch Resist Screen Inks are engineered to be directly screened onto the substrate using a 110 mesh screen.

Use a lacquer proof or direct emulsion film, photographic or water-soluble hand-cut stencils.

DCA350 Photo Initiator, DCA284 Thinner and DCA237 Adhesion Promoter.

Cure Parameters

Mirror Etch Resist inks cure when exposed to one medium pressure mercury vapor lamp at 300w/in 50-70fpm. Pretests are recommended to determine the highest processing speeds possible for complete cure.

Storage Conditions

Ink should be stored in a black polyethylene container at room temperature (75°F). Inks previously used for printing runs should be stored in a separate container to avoid cross contamination. Ink has a minimum shelf life of 6 months from date of manufacture if the above guidelines are followed and there has been nothing added to the ink.
