It can be homo-cured via UV or free radical initiators to form tough, hydrophobic, cross-linked polyimides. The material has excellent low pH hydrolytic resistance and thermal stability. The amorphous nature of this imide-extended BMI allows it to form room-temperature-stable solutions in a variety of free radical reactive diluents. It is soluble in many common solvents such as toluene, xylene, MIBK, etc. .

MM-304 is a liquid mono-functional methacrylate monomer. It has similar properties as Isobornyl Methacrylate (IBOMA) when polymerized but with lower weight loss on cure. It has a mild, pleasant odor. MM-304 has good resistance to hydrolysis.

Designer Molecules BMI-5000 Toluene is an imide-extended bismaleimide oligomer that exhibits excellent toughness in the cured state with an intermediate cross-link density. It is soluble in aromatic solvents. It is an amber, waxy solid at room temperature and can be cast as a hot melt or from solution to form pliable, non-tacky films. This maleimide functional oligomer can be cured thermally, via UV irradiation, or in the presence of free-radical initiators to form a tough thermoset. BMI-5000 is supplied as a 50% solids solution in toluene. The material can also be supplied as a solid slab, powdered solid or in alternative solvents.
