Deuteron MM 669

1 of 86 products in this brand
Deuteron MM 669 reduces the gloss of organic coatings. At a higher dosage the viscosity will only be slightly increased. Good flow and processibility remain and allow for all usual application processes. When using Deuteron MM 669 in UV-curing binders no cloudiness has been noticed. The surfaces of coatings show excellent resistance to burnishing and mar resistance. Deuteron MM 669 imparts coatings with a soft touch. In general, the additional use of waxes, PTFE or similar products is not necessary. back

Applications

Deuteron MM 669 has been designed as a matting agent for radiation curing systems. Experiences have shown that the required matting effect can be achieved particularly when UV-curing acrylic resins are being used as binders and when using reactive-diluents. When using epoxy resins as binder it has to be checked whether Deuteron MM 669 is suitable as a matting agent.

Dosage

The dosage depends on the character of the binder and the required degree of gloss. Initial laboratory trials should start with an addition of 5 -10 %. The exact dosage should be determined by own trials.

Processing

The good wetting properties and the favorable dispersibility of Deuteron MM 669 allow it to be incorporated into the lacquer with a simple mechanical stirrer. Other equipment, for example dissolvers, can also be used.
