It's made to seal metal and wood windows and doors, as well as overlap seams and narrow joints. 269 should be considered for operations requiring flexibility but with limited total joint movement.

It is also used in refrigeration/freezer assembly, rigid joints, expansion joints, and between wood, glass, metal, and masonry. On commercially clean surfaces, 255.2 exhibits 100 percent cohesive failure. Apply with a caulking gun or pump at temperatures ranging from 40°F to 150°F. Cracks deeper than 12 inches should be filled from the bottom.
