Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Application Method
- Substrate Requirements
- Substrate temperature must be a minimum of 50°F.
- The substrate must be free of dirt, waxes, curing agents and other foreign materials.
- Applications
- Surface Preparation is the most critical portion of any successful resinous flooring system application.
- All substrates must be properly prepared as outlined in Duraamen’s Technical Bulletin # 1.
- Work must be performed by trained or experienced contractors or maintenance personnel.
- All surfaces must be clean and free of loose debris, dirt and dust, grease, oils, curing agents, bonding agents and cleaning solutions.
- Cleaning may be accomplished by pressure washing, mechanical sanding, scraping, chipping or sandblasting.
- Repair all cracks with the appropriate patching material for the existing substrate.
- Installation
- Perdure A03 can be easily applied with a short nap roller or a lamb’s wool applicator.
- The coverage will vary due to ambient temperature, surface temperature, surface porosity, and/or application methods.
- Do not apply if the surface temperature is below 50°F.
- Avoid pooling and applications to areas that are subject to ponding water.
- A single coat will seal the substrate to minimize staining while producing a “patina” like finish.
- Subsequent coats will create a surface film with a higher sheen.
- Care should be taken to minimize the entrapment of air caused by over-rolling.
- Two coats are recommended for sealing applications.
- Clean Up
- Clean skin with soap and water.
- Tools and equipment should be cleaned with Xylene or Lacquer Thinner.
- Coverage
Perdure A03 yields 250 - 350 ft²/gallon depending on surface porosity and/or application method.
- Maintenance
- After completing the application of Perdure A03, the installer should provide the owner with maintenance instructions.
- If floors become slippery due to animal fats, oil, grease, or soap film, clean and rinse thoroughly.
- Perdure A03 is easily cleaned with neutral soaps or detergents.
- Routine mechanical scrubbing is recommended for all surfaces having a non-skid texture.
- Waxing is optional.
- Long periods of heavy traffic may cause wear patterns necessitating the application of a finish coat.
