Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Application Method
- Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
- Substrate Requirements
- Substrate temperature must be a minimum of 50°F and relative humidity below 85% for proper curing.
- The substrate must be free of dirt, waxes, curing agents and other foreign materials.
- Applications
- Surface Preparation is the most critical portion of any successful resinous flooring system application.
- All substrates must be properly prepared as outlined in Düraamen’s technical Bulletin #1.
- Work must be performed by trained or experienced contractors or maintenance personnel.
- Installation
- Mix each component of Perdure E32 prior to combining them together.
- Mix 2 Parts A to 1 Part B for 3 minutes and allow 30 minutes of induction time.
- After the induction period, apply Perdure E32 within 45 to 60 minutes.
- Do not use mixed material older than its pot life.
- Mix in small quantities (1.5 gallons at a time).
- Apply Perdure E32 with a short nap roller (1/4” nap) at the rate of 300ft²/gal.
- Care should be taken to avoid any puddles.
- Two coats of primer may be necessary to ensure uniform wetting and coverage.
- The second coat may be applied after it turns clear.
Follow the Recoat Windows Specified Below:
Water-Based Topcoat 4 - 24 hours 100% Solids Epoxy Topcoat 6 - 24 hours Solvent Based Topcoat 24 - 36 hours - Clean Up
- Clean skin with soap and water.
- Tools and equipment should be cleaned with Xylene or Lacquer Thinner.
- Coverage
Perdure E32 yields 350 - 400ft² per gallon at 2 - 3 mils dry film thickness.
- Maintenance
- After completing the installation, the applicator should provide the owner with maintenance instructions.
- If floors become slippery due to animal fats, oil, grease, or soap film, clean and rinse thoroughly.
- Perdure E32 is easily cleaned with neutral soaps or detergents.
- Routine mechanical scrubbing is recommended for all surfaces having a non-skid texture.
- Treating the surface with a floor finish (Smärtgard) is optional.
- Long periods of heavy traffic may cause wear patterns necessitating the application of a finish coat.
- Do not leave any type of tape on the sealer for more than 5 to 10 minutes.
- Test first in an inconspicuous area for compatibility between the tape and the sealer.
