SECOIA 4400 is an excellent binder for low VOC mat, sheen or satin applications, but also for gloss trim paints. Compared to conventional biobased alkyd emulsions containing external emulsifiers, hardness development is much faster, early tack after 24 hours lower, and yellowing with time, especially in darkness, is limited. Formulating with Secoia 4400 doesn’t require any drier addition. VOC/sVOC levels are very low. One should be careful with the addition of thickeners, as the reactivity of Secoia 4400 is very high!

- Storage Conditions
Secoia 4400 should be kept in the original containers or in stainless steel, aluminum or plastic tanks. Ordinary steel tanks with a corrosion -proof lining can also be used. The containers should be kept closed to prevent evaporation of the water and the formation of a skin on the surface. The product should not be exposed to frost (<5°C) or to temperatures exceeding 40°C. Under normal conditions, the product can be stored for twelve months with no significant loss of its properties, but it cannot be guaranteed for a longer time.
