PEL-SIL™ bis-PEG-10 is a linear, 100% active, dimethicone terminated with PEG-10 polyether groups. It is dispersible in water and is used in applications where lubricity, softness and conditioning are required. It finds use in personal care, household products, textiles and leather processing. Excellent surface tension reducer, it can boost foam quantity and stability in a multitude of personal care applications. It provides additional benefits such as moisturizing, emollience and a soft silky feel on hair and skin. It may also be used as a reagent to modify polymeric systems by virtue of its two primary hydroxyls. In these systems, it provides the typical benefits of silicones that include slip, mar resistance, anti-blocking, softness and improved temperature stability to the finish polymer.

PEL-AMPH™ HPC-32 is a modern imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that is suggested for personal care applications where mildness and luxurious lather are desired. Based on a pure coconut source, PEL-AMPH™ HPC-32 contains minimal amounts of by-products and is compatible with most other surfactants.In personal wash formulations such as body washes and shampoos, PEL-AMPH™ HPC-32 provides a dense lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is a mild amphoteric surfactant with applications in both personal care and industrial cleaners. Due to its excellent coupling properties in personal care products, it is used to couple conditioning agents in shampoos. Its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into high levels of electrolyte makes PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF very useful for built industrial cleaners. It is suggested for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is stable over a broad pH range and is the surfactant of choice in high electrolyte systems.

PEL-PHOS™ SG is cetyl alcohol, alkoxylated and phosphated. With its higher molecular weight and its weak anionic nature, it is very mild to the skin when formulated to pH 4-9. PEL-PHOS™ SG provides conditioning, emulsification, thickening, solubilization and is also useful for the adjustment of the pH of both hair and skin cleansing products. Because it is a phosphate ester, it acts as a buffer to stabilize pH. It is used in conditioning shampoos where it improves wet combing and enhances the manageability of dry hair. It is compatible with both cationic and anionic surfactants and is not very hydrophobic or cationic, like many conditioning agents, so it does not build up on the hair. When formulated with cationics, such as in hair conditioners, PEL-PHOS™ SG will provide viscosity enhancement to formulations.

PEL-SIL™ PEPG-310 is a high molecular weight, low HLB silicone emulsifier, conditioning agent and plasticizer for hair care resins. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. Its stability is reduced by strong acid alkali. PEL-SIL™ PEPG-310 is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It is an effective wetting agent and emulsifier. Additionally, it imparts soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-AMPH™ ALP is a vegetable-derived, amino acid based amphoteric surfactant useful in the formulation of mild foaming products. Combining the soothing effect of arginine with the low irritation potential of an amphoteric surfactant creates an exceptionally mild surfactant for personal care products. PEL-AMPH™ ALP produces moderate levels of foam, is an excellent wetting agent, has a high renewable carbon content, and is readily biodegradable.

PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L has a wide range of applications in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions & shaving creams. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions but stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. It performs as a wetting agent, emulsifier and a foam builder. PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It also detackifies ingredients used in some formulations while providing emolliency and slip to carbomer-based formulations. Additionally, it imparts a soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is one of the mildest amphoteric surfactants of its class and is suggested for personal care applications where low irritation is a must. In personal care formulations such as baby shampoos, bubble baths, and body cleansers, PEL-AMPH 2C provides a moderate lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect. PEL-AMPH 2C is stable over a wide pH range which makes it ideal for formulating AHA cleansers, etc. It is useful for the formulation of products used around food preparation areas and hospital hand cleansers. PEL-AMPH 2C is frequently used as the only surfactant in products such as premoistened wipes.

PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D is an exceptionally mild sulfosuccinate surfactant derived from a water-soluble silicone polyether compound. PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D is a mild detergent recommended for skin care products. When blended with sodium laureth sulfate, PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D reduces both eye sting and eye irritation. This product is hostile to microbial contamination and contains no preservatives.

PEL-EST™ OVG is a 100% natural derived emollient ester, obtained from organic extra virgin olive oil. It is useful as a co-emulsifier, wetting agent, emollient and conditioning agent for hair and skin. PEL-EST™ OVG is very mild and is excellent for refatting the skin. It is free of PEG, EO, PO, and dioxane.

PEL-AMPH™ CSF is a amphoteric surfactant useful in the formulation of both personal care and industrial cleaners. Due to its mildness and excellent coupling properties, PEL-AMPH™ CSF is used to couple conditioning agents in shampoos. Its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into formulations with high levels of electrolyte makes PEL-AMPH™ CSF very useful for industrial cleaners. PELAMPH CSF is suggested for products where the presence of sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems because the chloride level is essentially nil. It is stable over a broad pH range and is the surfactant of choice in high electrolyte systems.

PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is a useful replacement for Cocamide & Lauramide DEA in personal care applications. This product is not diethanolamine derived but it performs similarly to traditional diethanolamides. It is a good viscosifier & foam booster that is an easy to handle liquid at room temperature. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA can be used in any application where the traditional coco or lauryl diethanolamides have been used. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is effective in a wide variety of personal care products, including shampoos, body cleansers, bubble baths & facial cleansers.

PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is a multipurpose organosilicone surfactant that provides slip, mar resistance and antiblocking properties to surfaces such as polyolefins and coatings, paints and inks. It improves leveling and reduces orange peel, increases gloss and provides a smooth feel to surfaces. This product is soluble in both water and solvent borne formulations and is stable at roughly neutral pH. Stability is reduced by exposure to strong acid or alkali. There is no hydroxyl functionality because all the terminal hydroxyls are acetate capped so PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is non-reactive. In personal care, PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It is also an effective humectant and emollient for skin care products. It yields very stable formulations, is a good wetting agent, requires low usage levels and is compatible with a wide range of other materials. Being a higher molecular weight polymer, PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 has a low order of toxicity.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is both an alcohol-free and salt-free, mild, amphoteric surfactant with applications in both personal care and HI&I. In personal care products, PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is used to couple conditioning agents into shampoos and body washes. This high foaming surfactant makes an ideal choice when formulating mild shampoos or body washes. Its high buffer capacity also offers utility when formulating neutralizing shampoos that act to remove all relaxer types. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is also useful in industrial cleaners due to its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into high levels of electrolytes and its stability over a broad pH range. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is the ideal choice for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. It also has the potential to reduce the overall irritation of other surfactants.

PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 is a modern imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that is suggested for personal care applications where mildness and luxurious lather are desired. Based on a pure lauric source, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 contains minimal amounts of by-products and is compatible with most other surfactants. In personal wash formulations such as body washes and shampoos, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 provides a dense lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect.

PEL-FIX™ 123-S facilitates the penetration semi-permanent dyes and temporary hair colors into the hair shaft. It then improves the substantivity of those materials with a cationic silicone polymer. PEL-FIX™ 123-S allows for the uniform deposition of colors on the hair, even damaged hair. PEL-FIX™ 123-S is a blend of sorbitol, propylene glycol and Quaternium-80, a quaternary functional polydimethylsiloxane. Sorbitol and propylene glycol swell the hair shaft and allow penetration by the Quaternium-80 which retards the loss of color. Additionally Quaternium-80 is an excellent hair conditioning active.

PEL-FIX™ 123 affords solvent fixation of water soluble and cationic dyes suitable for semi-permanent and temporary hair colors. It allows for the uniform deposition of colors on the surface of each strand of hair, even damaged hair. PEL-FIX™ 123 is a blend of benzyl alcohol, propylene glycol and quaternium-80, a quaternary functional polydimethylsiloxane.
