E-Tec 527 is used at one (1) to four (4) fluid ounces per gallon of water, and temperatures from 65ºF to 180ºF. Elevated temperatures facilitate drying. The higher the concentration the greater the protection. The strength of the solution is maintained by periodic additions of E-Tec 527 concentrate. The solution should be discarded when it becomes contaminated with soils. The solution does not have to be ventilated. Tanks and heaters may be constructed of mild steel. E-Tec 527 is non-toxic and is essentially non-hazardous, and does not require special clothing, etc. However, it is recommended that eye protection be worn while preparing the solution and working with the solution.
