Akulon® XS is a new HV family with even better processing window and thermoformability capability. Akulon® XS is making it easier and more cost effective for processors to make polyamide 6 blown films for flexible food packaging, leveraging the unique barrier and mechanical properties of polyamide 6.Its offers improved stretching, particularly for BOPA and in applications like sausage casings that require shrink film

• Akulon® PA6 and Akulon® XS PA6 allow for reliable solutions since it yields high puncture resistance and high barrier properties for oxygen resulting in longer shelf lives and thus less food waste
• Akulon® XS grades allow for cost effective solutions due to its unique processing characteristics as a result from its low crystallization rate and since it also enables better thermoforming and transparency, improved processing in blown-film through improved bubble stability, increased BUR and less curling in non-symmetrical film
