POLYCAT® 41 is a tertiary amine catalyst employed in a wide variety of polyurethane foam and non-foam applications. It is a gel catalyst with added mild PIR selectivity, making it suitable for a wide variety of rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam and non-foam applications. ROHACELL® S is a closed-cell rigid foam created using polymethacrylimide (PMI) chemistry, and it is entirely free of CFCs. This foam is self-extinguishing, meaning it has fire-resistant properties. It is well-suited for various applications, including use in rail vehicles, watercraft, and the aerospace industry, where fire safety is a critical consideration.


ROHACELL® S

TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 is an organo-modified siloxane-based antifoam that is designed for foam control in non-aqueous media. It has a high silicone content, which makes it more effective than conventional products in bio-treated diesel fuels. TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 reduces foam collapse time and initial foam height, and it maintains its performance even in wet fuel and after storage for over four weeks. It also has excellent water shedding properties and a reduced treat rate compared to conventional antifoams based on polyether siloxanes. TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 is compatible with a wide range of diesel additive packages and can be incorporated into low-solvent formulations. It is also stable at low temperatures and can be used with conventional non-polar solvents.

POLYCAT® 557 is a catalyst that belongs to the category of standard TEDA (triethylenediamine) and DBU (1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene)-based catalysts. It is specifically designed to deliver high-performance foam reactions, catering to the requirements of applications like spray foam. Additionally, it is utilized in 2K PU (polyurethane) leather applications.

POLYCAT® DBU is a powerful gel catalyst that offers excellent curing properties at high temperatures, specifically for artificial turf applications. It is a tertiary amine known as diazobicycloundecene (DBU), which greatly enhances the urethane reaction (polyol-isocyanate) in various applications such as semi-flexible microcellular foam, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.

POLYCAT® DBU

POLYCAT® 8 is a tertiary amine catalyst used in a wide range of rigid polyurethane foam applications. It serves as a standard catalyst for a broad range of rigid foams, including continuous and discontinuous applications such as rigid slabstock, board laminate, and refrigeration formulations. POLYCAT® 8 can be batched with polyols or metered separately. Due to their low water solubility, pre-blends containing high water levels must be checked for phase stability.

POLYCAT® SA 2 LE is a low-emissive, delayed-action tertiary amine based on DBU. It effectively enhances the urethane reaction when heat is applied, making it suitable for microcellular, integral skin, coating, adhesive, sealant, and elastomer applications. This product is especially recommended for use with low-activity aliphatic isocyanates.

POLYCAT® SA 2 LE

POLYCAT® SA 1 is a heat-activated, delayed-action polyurethane catalyst that is based on a strong cyclic amine called 1,5-diaza-bicyclo (5.4.0) undec-5-ene. It consists of POLYCAT® DBU and an organic acid "blocker." At room temperature, POLYCAT® SA 1 has low activity, but when heat is applied, its activity increases and becomes comparable to that of metallic salts. When POLYCAT® SA 1 is added to conventional amine catalyst systems, it acts as a delayed-action catalyst. It has a minimal impact on the initial reaction and does not significantly affect the flowability of the foaming mass. Its primary effect is on the final curing properties of the foam, allowing for accelerated curing and improved demould time. This material is a light brown liquid with low volatility and a slight amine-like odor. It is miscible with water and soluble in most organic solvents.

POLYCAT® SA 1

POLYCAT® SA 102 is a heat-activated catalyst that offers excellent front-end delay, activated at a thermo-activation temperature of approximately 60 °C (140°F). This catalyst is specifically recommended for artificial turf applications. It belongs to the category of blocked amine catalysts, which are known for their ability to provide delayed reaction profiles.

POLYCAT® SA 102

POLYCAT® 5 is a tertiary amine-blowing catalyst applicable in various rigid and flexible polyurethane foam applications. It is highly effective in continuous and discontinuous MDI rigid foam applications and can also be used in TDI, TDI/MDI, and MDI high-resilience (HR) flexible molded foams, as well as in integral skin and microcellular systems.

POLYCAT® 5

POLYCAT® SA 8 is a tertiary amine utilized to enhance the urethane reaction either through heat activation or when combined with co-catalysts at ambient temperature. This product finds application in coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, and composites. By using formulations containing POLYCAT® SA 8, it is possible to achieve an extended pot life comparable to that of mercury catalysts.
