VISIOMER® Terra C17,4-MA (methacrylic ester 17.4) is a methacrylate monomer with a long alkyl chain, resulting in a low glass transition temperature (Tg). This monomer is commonly used to enhance the hydrophobicity of resins, making them more resistant to water and other polar substances. In addition to its role as a hydrophobicity enhancer, VISIOMER® Terra C17,4-MA is also employed as a flexibilizer and internal plasticizer in coatings and reactive resins applications.
