AEROSIL® R 202 is a hydrophobic fumed silica grade, treated with a polydimethylsiloxane. This product can be used in defoamer formulations for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming component.

Dynasylan® MTMS is an alkyltrialkoxysilane, holds a pivotal role in sol-gel systems. It appears as a colorless, low-viscosity liquid. Notably trifunctional, all three alkoxy groups possess hydrolytic capability, while the methyl group introduces organic character. Hydrolysis instigates the formation of silanol groups, which subsequently engage in condensation reactions to establish robust siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-). This condensation process coincides with hydrolysis after a threshold of silanol groups emerges. Hydrolysis and condensation rates depend on pH, concentration, solvent, temperature, and the catalyst.

Dynasylan® MTMS

ULTRASIL® VN 2 is primarily used at high filler loadings in PCT (passenger car tire) tread compounds without any loss in processing behavior. This silica is particularly well-suited for use in combination with bifunctional organosilanes, which help to optimize wet and winter properties. Additionally, high static moduli are observed with and without additional organosilanes. This is why ULTRASIL® VN 2 is also widely used in other mechanical rubber goods. It is available in both powder and granulated silica forms.

Evonik Polymer ST 80 is a product designed for high-modulus adhesives, serving as an alternative to 2K-polyurethanes and epoxies. It finds applications in adhesives for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals, civil engineering, wood adhesives, and more. Key features include high initial tack for fast assembly and excellent elasticity at high strength, with a strength rating of up to 10 MPa. It is composed of 100% polymer and releases ethanol.
