ZEOFREE® 600 LA should be your choice. This multifunctional calcium silicate is an outstanding soft-focus agent while it improves flow properties and prevents caking of moisture sensitive mixtures. Calcium silicate made by Evonik, combines an exceptionally high absorption capacity with a very pleasant, silky skin feel.
Consumers favor natural cosmetic products for their personal and environmental benefits. ZEOFREE® 600 LA is a synthetic calcium silicate produced in a precipitation process. It is REACH registered and a substance that meets the standards for "derived mineral ingredients" defined by ISO 16128-1. ZEOFREE® 600 LA is listed by NATRUE (Natural and Organic Cosmetics) with the INCI-Name calcium silicate and may therefore be used in NATRUE conform cosmetic formulations. All in all, ZEOFREE® 600 LA is a multi-purpose raw material, that comes with vegan and cruelty-free labels. More than that, its low environmental impact means that it delivers on sustainability and allows consumers to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Figure 2: Even in final product formulations, ZEOFREE®600 LA is extremely effective at reducing caking. At a lower dosage of just 1%, ZEOFREE® 600 LA reduced caking by 80%.

ZEOFREE® 600 LA soft-focus particles immediately reduce fine wrinkles and hide imperfections of the skin surface.
ZEOFREE® 600 LA as effective free-flow agent and to prevent caking Sodium chloride was used as a model substance for e.g., bath salt. At only 0.3 wt.% ZEOFREE® 600 LA improves flowability of wetted sodium chloride to an excellent flowability and is improved even better than with 0.4 wt.% of the other silica grades from Evonik.

Our silica products are inert and extremely stable chemically. However, due to their high specific surface area, they can absorb moisture and volatile organic compounds from the surrounding atmosphere. Therefore, we recommend storing the products in sealed containers in a dry, cool place, and removed from volatile organic substances. Even if a product is stored under these conditions, after a longer period it can still pick up ambient moisture over time, which could lead to its exceeding the specified moisture content. For this reason, our recommended use-by date is 36 months after date of manufacture. Product more than 36 months old should be tested for moisture content before use in order to make certain that it is still suitable for the intended application.
