ULTRASIL® VN 3 GR has a specific N2 surface area of approximately 180m²/g and is utilized in nearly all areas of the rubber industry. It is available in both powdered and granulated forms. ULTRASIL® VN 3 GR offers a high reinforcing potential in combination with a high level of transparency in the finished rubber product, such as in shoe soles. Furthermore, ULTRASIL® VN 3 GR is widely used in different bonding systems.

ULTRASIL® 880 is a precipitated silica that contains a calcium admixture and has a very low specific N2 surface area of approximately 35m²/g. When added to rubber mixtures, it provides excellent residual deformation and extrusion characteristics. ULTRASIL® 880 also enables the creation of profiles with minimal swelling and a very smooth surface. Even EPDM mixtures with extremely high filling grades (up to 200 parts per hundred of rubber) can still be processed with ease. In white mixtures, ULTRASIL® 880 can be used in partial substitution for titanium dioxide. The impact of sulfur adsorption is negligible.

ULTRASIL® VN 2 is primarily used at high filler loadings in PCT (passenger car tire) tread compounds without any loss in processing behavior. This silica is particularly well-suited for use in combination with bifunctional organosilanes, which help to optimize wet and winter properties. Additionally, high static moduli are observed with and without additional organosilanes. This is why ULTRASIL® VN 2 is also widely used in other mechanical rubber goods. It is available in both powder and granulated silica forms.

ULTRASIL® 7000 GR is a highly reinforcing silica that has been specifically developed for use in low-rolling-resistance passenger car tire tread compounds, commonly referred to as "Green Tires". This silica has a specific BET surface area of approximately 175 m²/g, and it exhibits excellent incorporation and dispersion behavior. When used in tire tread compounds, it imparts high abrasion resistance, excellent rolling resistance, and improved wet traction.

ULTRASIL® 7000 is a mechanically compacted granulate that results in less dust development during mixing thanks to the granulation process. ULTRASIL® 7000 GR, on the other hand, is an easily dispersible and highly reinforcing silica that was specifically developed for low-rolling-resistance passenger car tire tread compounds. It imparts high abrasion resistance to tread compounds, along with excellent rolling resistance and wet traction. To achieve these properties, it is necessary to use ULTRASIL® 7000 in combination with a bifunctional organosilane, such as Si 69®, Si 75®, Si 266®, or Si 363.
