FASCAT® 4350 is a amorphous white powder specifically designed for use in the preparation of alkyd resins in alcoholosis and esterification steps. Catalyst effectiveness has been shown in a number of short, medium, and long oil alkyds prepared from fusion and solvent processes. When used at concentrations of 0.03% to 0.04% by weight of total oil, this catalyst has demonstrated a reduction of 20% to 25% in reaction time as well as improved color and haze.
