Franplast Low O.T.R.

Franplast Low O.T.R. is a compound based on HSBC and is characterized by a low gas permeability (oxygen in particular). It’s a valid alternative to halobutyl vulcanized rubber (bromobutyl, clorobutyl), and it is used in applications where a low OTR value (Oxygen Transmission Rate) is required like some food and pharmaceutical closures or vacuum proof gaskets.

Polymer Name: Styrene Block Copolymer (SBC)

Processing Methods: Extrusion, Injection Molding
