GalSORB Benzophenone-3 is an oil soluble sunscreen agent. It provides UV-B absorption as well as some absorption in UV-A region (320 - 340 nm).

GalSORB Benzophenone-3, being a broad-band UV filter, can be used in day cream to prevent aging of skin and to protect the lips. To get highest Sun Protection Factor (SPF), a combination of GalSORB Benzophenone-3 with other oil soluble UV filters like Galaxy 2932 is recommended. It is incorporated in the oily phase, particularly polar oils. Nonpolar oils like liquid paraffin are less suitable as solubilisers for GalSORB Benzophenone-3 and it can crystallize out of the formulation on prolonged storage.
GalSORB Benzophenone-3 can also be used in other applications such as:
- A colorant protector in transparent packaging (the recommended concentration is 0.05 - 0.5%)
- A stabilizer for fragrance oils in conditioning shampoos and body cleansers
- A protector of hair against the ill effects of UV radiation in hair gels, shampoos and hair setting lotions, mousses and sprays
- Day creams to prevent premature aging of skin and to protect the lips
It must be noted that GalSORB Benzophenone-3 is incompatible with magnesium salts, particularly in W/O type emulsions

Spill should be contained / collected and disposed off as per the regulations. Avoid ingestion, inhalation and contact with eyes, skin and clothing. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice, if necessary.

- Store in a tightly closed container.
- Store in a cool, dry, well - ventilated area, at 35 - 40°C, away from incompatible substances.
- In the original sealed containers, when stored as suggested, shelf life of the product is at least five years.
- During storage, stacking should be maximum 1+1 pallet.
