Esculin / Aesculin is a coumarin derivative which we extract from the bark of our groves of South European Flowering Ash trees in Bulgaria.

The product is obtained by ethanol extraction of Bulgarian lavender concrete which was initially extracted from fresh Lavender flowers from Lavandula angustifolia using organic solvents (either hexane or petroleum ether). The components of Bulgarian lavender absolute are very similar to the ones that can be found in Bulgarian lavender oil as the highly valued esters.
