Galvanisation Zinga

About Us

"ZINGA was invented at the University of Ghent, Belgium, in the 1970s and has since been used on various structures around the world. The ZINGA® galvanizing film combines several advantages: active or cathodic protection, a passive protection barrier and easy application. In order to be able to offer galvanic protection, it is imperative to have a zinc concentration of at least 92% in the dry extract. With its 96% dry extract, ZINGA® certainly meets these conditions. ZINGA® offers excellent active and passive protection. Zinc offers active and cathodic protection thanks to its sacrificial properties. The barrier formed by the zinc salts and the binder provide passive protection. ZINGA is an active and effective zinc coating, which works in conjunction with the underlying metal while the paints only form a passive barrier. Whatever its thickness, a paint remains a passive barrier. As soon as a scratch appears, corrosion will set in immediately. Despite this significant difference, ZINGA is still often considered a simple paint because it is liquid and is sold in jars. But there are other more subtle differences: there is no formation of ""dry skin"" in the pot because ZINGA has an unlimited lifespan and does not deteriorate like paint."
