Due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, this semi-crystalline material belongs to the polymer group of engineering plastics. It has a high surface hardness and good sliding and wear behavior. Since POM belongs to the group of short-chip materials, machining is significantly simplified when compared to similar plastic materials.

Due to its excellent thermal and mechanical properties, this semi-crystalline material belongs to the polymer group of high-performance plastics (HPM).

GEHR PPS

GEHR PEEK

Due to its thermal and mechanical properties, this amorphous material belongs to the polymer group of standard plastics. In addition to its high mechanical strength and rigidity, it certainly has an extraordinarily brilliant transparency. Its weather and UV resistance as well as its surface hardness are also very high

GEHR PMMA XT

Polycarbonate is a transparent material and belongs to the group of amorphous engineering plastics as well as to the polyester family of plastics. It has a high stiffness and extremely high impact strength. It also has a high glass transition temperature and heat deflection temperature (approx. +130 °C). The continuous operating temperature of PC ranges between approximately -60 °C and +120 °C. The material is highly resistant to high-energy radiation. However, it must be stabilized against UV rays, otherwise yellowing may occur. Like all polyesters, PC is not resistant to hot water (from approx. +60 °C) in the long term.

Polybutylene terephthalate is a semi-crystalline material from the polyester family of plastics and, due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, is counted among the polymer group of engineering plastics. It has a high surface hardness and good sliding and wear behavior.

GEHR PBT

GEHR PE-ELS® is a variant of PE-HS with improved electrical conductivity. By means of a special conductive carbon black, the volume resistance could be reduced to ≤104 Ω and the surface resistance to ≤105 Ω.

GEHR PE-ELS

Polyphenylensulfone is an amorphous material, with improved impact and hydrolysis resistance compared to PSU. This amber-colored, transparent material is usually used in a black color, which is why we only offer it in this color version so far. The usual operating temperature is approx. +170 °C. The extremely high notch impact strength remains also after a heat aging.

GEHR PPSU

Due to its thermal and mechanical properties, this amorphous material belongs to the polymer group of standard plastics. The material has a high surface hardness, but is not UV-stable. ABS is suitable for galvanized components.

GEHR PC® is a transparent material and belongs to the group of amorphous engineering plastics as well as to the polyester family of plastics. It has a high stiffness and extremely high impact strength. It also has a high glass transition temperature and heat deflection temperature (approx. +130 °C). The continuous operating temperature of PC ranges between approximately -60 °C and +120 °C. The material is highly resistant to high-energy radiation. However, it must be stabilized against UV rays, otherwise yellowing may occur. Like all polyesters, PC is not resistant to hot water (from approx. +60 °C) in the long term.

GEHR PC®

GEHR PPS® is continuous operating temperature of this high-performance plastic is approximately +230 °C. It has very high mechanical performance combined with excellent thermal and chemical resistance as well as high dimensional stability and creep resistance. The LOI of this material is among the highest among polymers. The excellent hardness and stiffness are further characteristics of PPS. It closes the gap between semi-crystalline, engineering plastics and PEEK through its strength and economic efficiency.

GEHR PPSU® is an amorphous material, with improved impact and hydrolysis resistance compared to PSU. GEHR PPS® 40 GF is a variant of PPS modified with 40 % glass fibers. Due to the high glass fiber content, strength ranges comparable to light metals can be achieved. This material owes its significantly increased dimensional stability to its very low coefficient of linear expansion.

GEHR PEEK® 20 TF (GLIDE) is made in response to enquiries for a material with the properties of natural-colored PEEK but with optimized sliding properties. Although PTFE additives in plastics often lead to a fibrous surface, we were able to achieve an almost shiny surface during processing. This material was developed to optimize the performance of PEEK in friction and wear applications by offering improved lubricity and reduced friction compared to standard PEEK. It offers all the standard advantages associated with standard PEEK resins, such as high mechanical strength and rigidity, excellent thermal oxidative stability, fatigue resistance and excellent resistance to tough chemical environments. Here, it offers clear advantages over the materials PEK, PEKK or PEKEKK.

GEHR PEEK® 20 TF (GLIDE)

GEHR PEEK® MOD (GLIDE) is reinforced with 10 % of each PTFE, graphite and carbonfibre. The very good friction, wear and tear properties makes this material the good choice for many applications with friction.

GEHR PA® 6 XT is a PA 6 which shows a very tough behavior and which was produced by extrusion. Our round rods and sheets in natural color comply with the food contact regulations according to 10/2011/EC.

GEHR POM® ELS is a variant of POM-C with enhanced electrical conductivity. The conductivity is generated by a specially adjusted additive. Migration to the part surface, and thus strong fluctuation of the good conductivity, should therefore not occur. The surface resistance, measured on the semi-finished product, is ≤104 Ω.

E-CTFE is a linear block copolymer and belongs to the group of amorphous high-performance plastics. It is highly UV and weather resistant and also withstands high-energy (radioactive) radiation. Ethylen-Chlortrifluorethylene exhibits an extraordinary impact strength at temperatures ranging from -76 °C to +150 °C. A great part of the product properties attributes to the very smooth surface and differentiates HALAR® from other fluoropolymers. Due to the fact that E-CTFE is very pure, this material is being used to process chemicals and ultrapure water for the semiconductor industry. Also the permeation resistance to oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine gas and hydrochlorid acid is 10 to 100 times better than PTFE.
