TC treated pigments and fillers are coated with an alkyl silane which provides a very hydrophobic coating that increases the ease of particle dispersion in natural and synthetic fluids and helps to stabilize particles in emulsion systems.
- Improves pigment performance in oils and silicone
- Economical hydrophobic pigment treatment
- Decreases oil absorption
- Improves wear on skin
- Surface Treatment Benefits
- Provides long wear
- Lowers oil absorption
- Improves skin adhesion
- Enhances water repellency
- Facilitates dispersion processing
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Color Cosmetic Applications
- Nail Care Applications
- Formulation Guideliness
- Use up to 0.10% for color correction
- More cost effective than organic pigments
- Ultramarine Pink is the only UV and heat stable “red” pigment permitted for use around eyes
- Ultramarines have low hiding power; use opacifiers to optimize
- Over-processing may decrease color saturation of products
