Bisomer® PEA 6 is water soluble and offers a novel route to the production of traditional and water based UV curable urethane acrylate oligomers. As an alternative to HEA and HPA, it is non-toxic, easy to handle and listed as a polymer in the REACH classification. Bisomer® PEA 6 is also an excellent, low shrinkage reactive diluent for UV systems based on urethane acrylates and vinyl esters (epoxy acrylates). Bisomer® PEA 6 has a low Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) and offers excellent plasticising properties when incorporated into polymers, including emulsion polymers. Bisomer® PEA 6 is ideal in the preparation of UV oligomers, emulsion polymers, printing inks and particularly in non-ionic polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) for ease of dispersion.
