Based on ethylene oxide, Bisomer® PEM 6 LD is water soluble and contains a primary hydroxyl group. It is non-toxic and has an EINECS “Polymer” classification. Bisomer® PEM 6 LD has a low Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) and offers excellent plasticising properties when incorporated into polymers. Bisomer® PEM 6 LD is ideal in the preparation of hydrogels, wood impregnants, soil stabilizers and polyurethane dispersions (PUDs). It is also used extensively in the manufacture of more traditional acrylic polyols and urethane methacrylate oligomers for use in photo imaging applications such as printed circuit boards (PCBs) and dry film resists (DFRs).
