Features & Benefits

Product Background
  • The exposome is the accumulation of external and internal exposures affecting an individual throughout their life. These exposures can be reflected in the condition of a person's skin, such as hyperpigmentation, loss of luminosity, and unevenness of tone. The cosmetic industry is focused on solving or preventing the results of the exposome. DermaSpring IQ is a powerful, natural, biome- friendly solution to help minimize and reverse the skin aging effect of the exposome, through reduction of AGES (advanced glycation end products), melanin synthesis and ROS (free radicals).
  • Bio-Hacked BCRW fermentation combines probiotics with the combination of cherry blossom, akebia stem, and yumberry prebiotic superfoods. Our proprietary fermentation technology yields a POSTBIOTIC broth brimming with micronutrients designed to support the skin's microbiome. The use of friendly probiotics — Lactobacillus plantarum and Saccharomyces boulardi — to ferment superfoods is a clean and sustainable methodology for obtaining unique ingredients for use in personal care.

The Prebiotics:

  • The Foundation of DermaSpring IQ Myrica rubra (Chinese Bayberry, Japanese Yumberry) is a common plant found mainly in Taiwan, China, and eastern Asia, and the fruit is harvested each spring from May to June. Myrica rubro fruit has an attractive flavor and tastes sourly delicious. Myrica rubra fruit extract is shown in vitro to inhibit tyrosinase activity, mitigating hyperpigmentation. Real-time PCR analysis and Western blot analysis indicate that the gene expression and protein secretion of Melanocyte Inducing Transcription Factor and Tyrosinase Related Protein-I in skin cells was down- regulated by treatment with the Myrica rubro fruit extract.
  • Cherry blossom, or Sakura (Prunus Lannesiana), has been a symbol of beauty in Japan since ancient times and originally exclusive to the elite class. Cherry blossom blooms in the spring and is Viewed as a symbol of good fortune. Studies show that cherry blossom extract significantly inhibits the production of AGES in normal human fibroblasts. The main active ingredient, Caffeoyl glucose inhibits the production of AGEs. "Anti-glycation" is an important approach to fight aging while promoting healthy, youthful skin and preventing brown spots formation. Additionally, the extract has been shown to be effective in maintaining extracellular matrix structure and further protecting against fibroblasts glycation.
  • Akebia Fruit is also known as the chocolate vine, due to the fragrance the flowers emit... that's right, the plant smells like chocolate! Studies show that akebia extract has protective effects on fibroblast aging induced by AGES and decreases the level of intracellular ROS in AGEs-treated fibroblasts. In addition, the anti-glycation activity was confirmed in a human skin explant model. Akebia stimUlated fibrillin-l expression in comparison to the control and exhibited protective benefits that keep the skin healthy and radiant.
  • Hyperpigmentation, non-enzymatic glycation (brown spots) and lipid peroxidation are some of the damaging effects of the exposome on skin health. DermaSpring IQ delivers natural protection and reverses the negative effects of these internal and external stressors on the skin, resulting in a brighter, more even complexion and overall healthier skin.
