- Product Background
- Native to Southeast Asia, Camellia Sinensis has been used as a traditional herbal remedy for centuries, and medicinal properties of this tea have been widely explored. A member of the Theaceae plant family, Camellia Sinensis is known both for its antioxidant and antibacterial activity. White tea, the least processed buds and leaves of Camellia Sinensis, retains the highest concentration of the natural protective powers of the plant. The polyphenols found in white tea are more commonly known as flavonols or catechins. Their antioxidant potential is directly related to hydroxyl groups that make up their structure, by the binding and neutralization of free radicals.
- BioTransformation is a unique extraction technology that uses plant derived enzymes to simplify complex botanical actives so they are more easily assimilated by the skin. This sustainable methodology allows for the use of minimal plant material with maximum results.
