Hauthane HD-2107 DMM (L-2877) is a hard, NMP-free, APEO-free, aliphatic, polyester-based, aqueous polyurethane dispersion with an exceptional balance of properties. Features: Forms tough, abrasion- and mar-resistance films. Outstanding water and chemical resistance. Excellent exterior weathering performance. Can be crosslinked to enhance performance. Dilution and clean-up with ordinary tap water. Contains dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether (DMM) co-solvent.

HD-2107 DMM was designed for topcoat applications on a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, metal, plastic and wood.

Product Applications

HD-2125 DMM may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or brush applications. Rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.

Technical Details & Test Data

Drying
  • HD-2125 DMM may be dried at ambient temperatures with supplemental co-solvent addition of 5% DPM or DPnB on total formulation weight.
  • Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties.
