European Bacteriological Agar is used as a gelling agent in the preparation of culture media and in other routine microbiological applications. European Bacteriological Agar has a high gel strength of 800-1 100 g/cm2 and is used at concentrations of 1.0%-2.0%.

QSOL® High is a high solubility, quick-dissolving agar that completely dissolves at the relatively low temperature of 80 ºC. It is perfect for applications where energy savings is a concern. QSol® High Solubility Agar also prevents the loss of organoleptic properties in products where other ingredients may be heat sensitive.

The Pharmaceutical Agar meets the specifications of the European Pharmacopeia and USP. The methods used are according to EP/NF or validated as appropriate to EP/NF. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry in various applications, such as barium sulfate suspending agent in radiology, as laxative and lubricant, and in preparations of emulsions, suspensions, capsules, etc.

Gold Agar is a premium food grade agar with a particularly low gelling temperature. This agar is suitable for use in a wide range of applications such as confectionery, bakery, glazing, dairy and meat products. The low gelling temperature makes Gold Agar particularly useful in applications where solutions must be kept in liquid form for longer periods of time. Gold Agar is stable when autoclaving and also performs well in adverse pH conditions.
