"Independent Chemical Corporation was founded in 1948, by Benjamin Spielman to support the burgeoning textile processing industries in the New York & New Jersey metropolitan areas.

Today, as the industry grows even more and expands in new directions, Independent Chemical, is positioned to manufacture and distribute an ever expanding range of products to support customers that include the world’s most sought after consumer and industrial brand names, in such product areas as nutrition, cosmetics, seafood and meat processing, baking, graphic arts, environmental services, and more.

At Independent Chemical, we partner with our customers to create the services needed – whether in custom packaging, particle sizing, custom synthesis, or stocking at locations in the US or Internationally.

We work as an extension for many of the world’s best manufacturers to package and warehouse their products and to provide “just-in-time” delivery to end users, both via our fleet of tankers and van trailers and contract carriers. Depending on the grade and type, we can offer products from railcar quantity down to 20-liter pails, and sometimes smaller. We strategically store products across the entire United States & Canada.

Independent Chemical Corporation now employs more than 45 dedicated associates in sales and office and warehouse capacities. We are a proud member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, and support the Responsible Distribution Process to insure safe handling of our products."

Independent Chemical Corporation Skyline F (03.5205) is designed to disperse pigments, insoluble powders, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, sunscreen powders, lacquers, texturizers agents, iron oxides, and other materials. A ground-breaking new method for dispersing fine particle-sized pigments into a stable solution without the use of a mill or Castor Oil. With twice the loading of a Castor Oil system, this product produces an extremely stable, odorless liquid dispersion.

SYNTHALEN® CH is a thickening agent. SYNTHALEN® CH is a benzene-free synthetic polymer that is well known and widely used in the cosmetic industry as a thickener and suspending agent due to its safety and versatility. SYNTHALEN® CH dispersions have a high viscosity and a high clarity (see Fig. 1 and 2). As a result, it is ideal for creating sparkling and clear gels as well as stabilizing emulsions. If the proper neutralizing agent is used, very clear gels can be obtained in the presence of high amounts of organic solvents (e.g., ethanol). The typical percentage of use ranges between 0.1 and 1.5 percent, depending on the type of formulation and final desired viscosity. SYNTHALEN® CH is a 3V Sigma product.

SYNTHALEN® CH

Polygel CA is a substance synthesis laboratory chemical. A carbomer 940 product that is used to thicken hydro-alcoholic cosmetic products such as hand sanitizers, creams, lotions, and so on. The typical concentration is 0.5 wt percent. The product is first hydrated in the water phase with high shear for 45-60 minutes, then the alcohol is added and the pH is adjusted to 6.0-6.5 to thicken and increase clarity. When done correctly, this will result in a clear, transparent product. 3V Sigma manufactures Polygel CA.

SYNTHALEN® M is a synthetic polymer that is well-known and widely used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries as a thickener and suspending agent due to its safety and versatility. It is virtually solvent-free because it is produced using a proprietary manufacturing technique (50 ppm max of methylene chloride). SYNTHALEN® M dispersions have low viscosity at 0.2 percent or less and high viscosity at higher concentrations (0.5 percent or more) These characteristics enable the production of multiple products from a single polymer. As a result, it is ideal for stabilizing emulsions and suspensions in cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications. Thickening agent.

Synthalen® L is a synthetic polymer that is well-known and widely used as a thickener and suspending agent in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries due to its safety and versatility. It is virtually solvent free because it is produced using a proprietary manufacturing technique (50 ppm max methylene chloride). Synthalen® L dispersions have a low viscosity but a higher suspending ability than other carbomers. As a result, Synthalen® L is the polymer of choice for fluid emulsion and suspension stabilisation.
