ICT Sure Grip H2O (800) is a bonding primer designed to aid in the adhesion of paints and stains to dense concrete, bare concrete, or painted concrete surfaces. Sure Grip H2O is a self cross-linking epoxy perfect for bonding several water-based coatings, such as Color Seal H2O Pro (220), Color Seal H2Cool (225), or Texture-EEZ 3500 (425). Sure Grip H2O is a water-based product and is V.O.C. compliant in all 50 states.
- Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is crucial to the performance of Sure Grip H2O. The surface must be clean and free of dirt, dust, oil, grease, or any other contaminate that may inhibit proper adhesion. Total Etch & Clean (740) should be used prior to application of Sure Grip H2O when additional profile is needed to allow for proper adhesion.
- Application
Sure Grip H2O is a ready-to-use solution and should not be diluted before application. Gently mix product well before application. Do not put Sure Grip H2O in a paint shaker or vigorously mix which could cause bubbling or foaming to occur. One thin coat is typically enough however, if concrete is chalky or very porous a second coat may be necessary. Second coat should be applied after first coat is dry to the touch. Sure Grip H2O can be applied with either a roller or a sprayer. The topcoat, such as Color Seal or Texture-EEZ 3500, should be applied after Sure Grip H2O has been down for 2 hours. The topcoat must be applied within 36 hours of the installation of Sure Grip H2O (800) to maintain effectiveness.

Do not apply if surface temperature is below 55°F. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Must be allowed to dry 2 hours before applying a topcoat. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not take internally.
