WET!™ Color Enhancer & Sealer

1 of 1 products in this brand
WET!™ Color Enhancer & Sealer has excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals, including salt. The penetrating nano particles of ICT WET! (157) Allows the product to soak into the surfaces of porous substrates, such as brick pavers, to stabilize joints and loose sand within, while also enhancing the color of the surface being sealed. ICT WET! (157) Is non-yellowing, once cured, and will form a very hard protective coating for brick pavers, porous concrete & masonry surfaces. The durability and resistance to chemicals and salt of ICT WET! (157) makes it great for application on sidewalks, pool decks, and driveways. Exterior use only.

Use

ICT WET! (157) is a single- part, environmentally friendly, water-borne polymer. ICT WET!(157) is formulated to give a “wet look” appearance to properly prepared brick pavers. ICT WET! (157) Is extremely user friendly. As a single-part sealer, it is able to seal, protect, stabilize, and color enhance in one quick, easy process.

Surface Preparation
  1. Clean surface thoroughly with ICT Total Klean (700) all purpose degreaser and cleaner to remove dirt and oils. It is recommended that you also use a bleach/ liquid chlorine solution to remove any visible or microscopic algae or mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. If you are applying ICT WET! (157) over brick pavers it is recommended that you use ICT Total Prep (720) according to product directions. This will aid in the removal of efflorescence and condition / prep the pavers.
  3. Pressure wash the entire area thoroughly to remove any residual chemicals.
Application

ICT WET! (157) is a ready-to-use product. It requires no mixing or diluting, making it user friendly. Brick Pavers or Hot Surfaces can be slightly dampened with a light mist of water prior to applying ICT WET! (157) . Do Not Over Hydrate. Hydrate surface only if conditions allow for adequate dry/curing time. Thin pavers over concrete with a sand bed should be thoroughly dry before applying ICT WET! (157). The use of a quality pump sprayer or airless sprayer (using no larger than 517 tip) or roller is recommended. Apply 2 thin coats and avoid the use of “saturation” or “flood” coats. Do not allow ICT WET! (157) to puddle. If puddling occurs use a dry roller to “back roll” the material to maintain an even thickness. If you use a roller for the application of ICT WET! (157) use a 1/2”-3/4” nap roller cover. For dry rolling/ back rolling you will need a 3/4-1” roller cover. If you should see roller marks as you are applying, lightly mist those areas with water. This will allow ICT WET! (157) to settle and form a more even film. After being sealed, surface may become slippery. The use of ICT Broadcast Blend (495) can help alleviate some slipperiness. Simply pinch and toss small amounts of ICT Broadcast Blend (495) to surface while sealer is curing to create an artificial profile on the substrate. If stripping is necessary prior to applying ICT WET! (157), ICT Total Strip (710) or ICT Total Super Strip HD (750) can be used to remove existing coatings from the surface.

Coverage

Approx. 275 –350 sq. ft. per gallon. Coverage rates will vary depending on substrate porosity and application methods.

  • Do not apply ICT WET! (157) when air or surface temperature is below 55°F or is expected to fall to the point before application is dry. Low temperatures and high humidity will effect drying and curing times.
  • Do not apply ICT WET! (157) to new cement, mortar or grout. Allow these products to cure for a minimum of 28 days before sealing. ICT Total Prep (720) should be used for aid in the removal of efflorescence prior to application of ICT WET! (157) .
  • Do not apply to thin pavers over a concrete sand bed if moisture is present.
  • Do not Apply a thick coat or at a rate of less than 250 sq. ft. per gallon
Limitations

Must be stored in air tight container to prevent evaporation and contamination with foreign material. Do not apply when surface and air temperatures are above 100o F or below 55°F or when dew point is within 5°F of air temperature. Keep the material in a cool dry place. Do not freeze, store above 40°F. Refer to manufacturers recommendations for wait/cure time before sealing pavers with ICT WET! (157).

Precautions

Keep out of reach of children. Applicator should wear protective eyewear and gloves. Do not take internally. Do not store in direct sunlight or excessive heat. Do not allow this product to freeze. Refer to the MSDS for this product for safety recommendations related to working with this product. Do not apply if surface is below 50°F or above 100o F. Do not apply over surfaces that have been previously sealed with a solvent based sealer unless a compatability test is performed. Use caution when applying to thin pavers when a salt water pool is in use to avoid possible maintenance issues.

WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. Lead is toxic. Exposure to lead dust can cause serious illness, such as brain damage, especially in children. Pregnant women should also avoid exposure. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.
