Our ISOPUR brightener-stabilizer blend "Antiscorch and Antiyellowing" is a product specially developed for the extremely high requirements in flexible polyurethane foam and contributes significantly to the optimization of photo and thermal stability.
Harmful, high-energy UV radiation is effectively filtered out. In addition, the optimally coordinated synergistic blend achieves an excellent protective effect against thermal stress. Thermally induced degradation processes during the manufacturing process (scorching / core discoloration *) as well as during the processing phase (e.g. thermofoaming *) are effectively prevented.
With optimal dosage, the blend meets even the most extreme demands and works effectively against core discoloration. We recommend adding 3% to the A component of your PU system.
A brightener component already contained rounds off the spectrum of activity and creates a “super white effect”, ie a visually appealing, intense (bluish-looking) white.
- Your Benefits At A Glance
- Universally applicable, in polyether and polyester block foam
- Liquid and therefore easy to handle and dose
- Low-fogging property
- Core discoloration during the manufacturing process is minimized depending on the addition
- Yellowing as a result of the thermofoaming process is minimized depending on the dosage
- Any brightener that is already present provides an additional "super white effect"
- Special product with a wide range of applications
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Industrial Additives End Use
- Applications Area
- Reduction of the short to medium-term yellowing of the foam, from manufacture to sale of the finished product (approx. 4 - 6 weeks)
- Foams for the textile industry (e.g. bra cups or shoulder pads), which are formed in the so-called thermofoaming process after production
- Foams with an increased tendency to discolor the core, e.g. in countries with very warm climatic conditions and high humidity, as well as special foams with a low density, a high water content or flame-retardant systems
- As well as foams for which a special “super white effect” is desired
