"Isothermal Protective Coatings, Inc. (IPC) was founded in 1981 by Gary Hollingshead (an organic chemist), his wife Ruth and a few investors. The founders pursued a cost-effective product that could be used to coat weather-worn roofs to repair leaks and prevent the exorbitant costs of replacing entire roofs.

In the 1990s, IPC developed additional products that also addressed the needs of the commercial roofing market. These new solutions allowed IPC to expand how it positively served clients, while eliminating the time, money and landfill burden of re-roofing.

In 2019, the Hollingsheads sold IPC to Jocelyn and Derron Cook, who now serve at the helm of this innovative, small business. The new leaders have invigorated IPC with a growth mindset while nurturing its culture for artisan craftmanship. "

IsoBite is a premium butyl tape, backed by a high-strength, stitch-bonded, fleece facer. It is an ideal product for repairing metal roofs prior to AcryLinkG application. The fleece backing allows for superior adhesion of coatings, sealants, mortar and stucco to the surface of the tape. In fact, it can be used anywhere you need to bridge two dissimilar surfaces, including vertical and horizontal roof seams. Plus, IsoBite can be applied in a single step, saving you time and money.

AcryLinkG™ is IPC’s flagship product, credited with putting our business on the map when it comes to commercial roof products. AcryLinkG can be brushed, rolled or sprayed onto your existing roof, which significantly cuts down on the removal and disposal of roof debris. Plus, AcryLinkG can be applied at half the cost of conventional roofing.

IsoClear is a tough yet flexible, transparent coating that forms a protective barrier on roofs to resist ultraviolet (UV) penetration that typically causes color fading and deterioration.

IPC’s AcryCaulk is an all-purpose sealant that readily adheres to primed or painted metal, thermo plastics, asphalt, polyurethane foam and concrete substrates. Its highly thixotropic quality (or ability to become thinner and less viscous) and elevated viscosity enable it to bridge gaps well, making it an ideal sealant for difficult waterproofing scenarios such as flat roofs.

IsoTack is a primer, shown to increase adhesion to stainless steel, aluminum, copper, concrete as well as weathered single-ply roofs. IsoTack is also recommended to increase adhesion to AcryLinkG when installed over new TPO or PVC roofing systems.

IsoPrime Plus is a unique “two-in-one” product that both passivates rusted substrates and provides a corrosion-inhibiting surface for subsequent roof coating. After the substrate has been power washed and any scale has been removed, IsoPrime Plus can be applied as a single component on the dry surface by brush or airless spray. The combined rust eliminator and primer in this product eliminates the need for multiple products, steps and additional labor costs.

AcryPair is a revolutionary waterproofing coating that is uniquely designed to be applied to wet or damp roofs where curing will proceed even underwater! Unlike quick patch materials that have a short life expectancy, AcryPair is guaranteed to last for five years. AcryPair will adhere to all common roofing substrates and is ideal for either instant roof repairs or as a permanent roof coating.

IsoPrime Plus is a unique “two-in-one” product that both passivates red-rusted substrates and provides a corrosion-inhibiting surface for subsequent top coating. After the substrate has been power washed to clean it and to remove any scale, IsoPrime Plus can be applied on the dry surface by brush or airless spray using a .013” to .025” tip.

IsoClear is a tough, flexible, transparent coating that protects the AcryLinkG™ roof coating. It forms a protective barrier that resists U.V. penetration and protects the colors from fading. It extends the lifespan of the substrate by protecting it from oxidation, corrosion and infiltration by free radicals. IsoClear is a two component coating. Its exceptional toughness and flexibility is the result of the reaction between a fluoropolymer resin and a polyurethane hardener prior to application.
