JODOCO NV Jodoplume

Jodoco NV Jodoplume is a liquid source of natural betaine, combined with a range of organic acids for drinking water application in monogastrics. Jodoplume protects the intestinal epithelial cells against osmotic stress factors such as coccidiosis, dysbacteriosis and heat, and thus prevents diarrhea in pigs and wet litter problems in poultry. Natural betaine acts as a methyl donor in the liver metabolism by protecting the liver against fat accumulation and improving fat and energy metabolism.

Natural betaine as osmolyte

  • Osmoprotectant: helps the cell regulate its cell volume and protects the cell structures.
  • Anti-stressor both at gut level and at cell level: increases resistance to stress factors {including drought, heat, high concentrations of salt or minerals and pathogens). e
  • Improves intestinal health and prevents diarrhea in porcs due to the presence of E. coli and Salmonella. In poultry, Jodoplume avoids wet litter and the resulting problems (bumble foots and soiled eggs).
  • Ensures better water, feed, additives and nutrient utilization.

Natural betaine as methyl donor

  • Methyl donor and source of glycine.
  • By the synthesis of carnitine, betaine protects the liver against fat accumulation and improves the fat, energy and protein balance in the body, resulting in less fat deposition, more lean meat and more breast meat in broilers.
