"Kawandama Hills Plantations is a 6,500 hectare essential oil plantation – the largest in Southern Africa - based in the middle of picturesque Viphya Forest Reserve in Northern Malawi. We produce lemon eucalyptus oils for export, rose, lavender and lemongrass essential oils, Virisafe hand sanitizer and sustainable charcoal. By 2025, KHP expects to produce nearly 50 tons of oil and over 1000 tons of charcoal annually. Between 2025-2030, we will also have trees to sell to the timber and pole industries having already planted around 180ha of timber species including 30ha of Red Mahogany hardwood. KHP has British and Malawian shareholders and is a family-owned business. Our plantation is in Mzuzu District and we have shipping container retail outlets in Lilongwe and Kasungu. "
