Due to the occurring viscosity decrease in Thiokol polymers, large filler quantities can be mixed in and e. g. polysulfide sealants can be made very smooth and easy to handle, which is very advantageous when using them at low outside temperatures.

Besides, Mediaplast TR is also suitable for the use in polysulfide polymers of the Thiokol type, as the compatibility is extraordinarily good and this plasticizer also leads to an excellent cold flexibility in poly-sulfide polymers (setting point approx. -30 °C).
