K-KAT® XK-661 is a novel Zinc-amine complex catalyst with excellent hydrolytic stability, making it useful for waterborne 2K PU coatings as well as 1K moisture cure polyurethane adhesives. K-KAT® XK-661 is supplied 80% active in butyl acetate for easier incorporation into waterborne systems.

Applications

K-KAT XK-661 can be used in ambient cured or force dried WB or SB 2-component polyurethane systems. It can also be used in 1-component ambient moisture cured urethanes and thermally cured blocked isocyanate systems.

Incorporation

For SB and solventless systems, K-KAT XK-661 can be added directly to the polyol component. For WB systems, K-KAT XK-661 should be pre-diluted with a cosolvent, and mixed well into the resin, before letting down with additional water.
