Applications & Uses
- Applications
- Use Level
- 3.0% - 20.0% (Rust preventive fluids), 3.0% - 15.0% (Dewatering fluids)
- Product Uses
- NA-SUL® CA-1183 is a very effective multi-metal corrosion inhibitor with outstanding water displacement properties. It is particularly effective on galvanized steel. It has excellent solubility in a wide variety of diluent fluids, including naphthenic oils, Groups I, II, and III paraffinic oils, vegetable oils, esters and polyalphaolefins. It is designed for use with solvents such as white spirits (mineral spirits) or kerosene.
- Rust preventive performance is enhanced by the addition of 10% or 20% mineral oil in combination with solvent. Solubility in specific oils and solvents should always be verified.
- NA-SUL® CA-1183 can be combined with waxes or resins for specialty applications. NA-SUL® CA-1183 is especially useful as a dewatering fluid additive. It separates water extremely effectively into clear water and organic layers. It shows no tendency to gel or skin at the water/organic interface.
- NA-SUL® CA-1183 is generally compatible with most alkaline cleaners and metalworking fluids. Compatibility with likely contaminants should be verified prior to use.
