"In July of 2007, Kingscote Chemicals acquired Bonneau Company, manufacturer of quality dyes for the textile industry since 1928. Bonneau’s specially formulated dye packs are engineered for direct dyeing of cotton and nylon fabric simplifying the dyeing process while providing for a clean, safe, dust- free environment. Looking to add to its specialty dye business, Kingscote Chemicals acquired Eaglite Industries in September of 2009. Eaglite has over 30 years of experience supplying anodizing dyes to the metal finishing industry. As a company, we pride ourselves on providing environmentally solutions for a vast assortment of industries and applications. It is our goal to provide efficient solutions that are safe for water life. The majority of our dyes are non-toxic, ANSI/NSF Certified and water-soluble. When used as directed, many of our products are harmless to fish, wildlife and aquatic eco-systems while providing a long-lasting solution for your project."

Bright Dyes® FWT Red Wax (Cake) is specially formulated versions of Rhodamine dye for convenient use in water tracing and leak detection studies. This bright, fluorescent red dye is certified by NSF International to ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in drinking water. It may be detected visually, by ultraviolet light and by appropriate fluorometric equipment. Today it is most often used visually. Visually the dye appears bright pink to red, depending on its concentration and under ultraviolet light as bright orange. Best for visual inspections of moderate volumes of water, 20,000-50,000 gallons.

Bright Dyes® Standard Blue Tablet is specially formulated versions of the dye Acid Blue 9. This dye is used for visual detection only and cannot be seen under ultraviolet light or detected by fluorometry. However, when used visually, its color is often thought to be more acceptable to public view than the fluorescing red or yellow green Bright Dyes® products. In this respect, it is sometimes used in fountains, ponds and streams for decorative effect. Visually, the dye appears as aqua to royal blue depending on its concentration and activity of the water.

Visually the dye appears as a bright dark red to magenta, depending on its concentration and under ultraviolet light as a bright orange.

Bright Dyes® FLT Blue Wax (Cone) offers our slowest rate of dispersion. Wax is perfect for use in time studies, travel studies, sea marking, and flow/current mapping. Cones will dye more than a wax cake but less than a wax donut. This dye is only used for visual representation and will NOT be seen under ultraviolet light. Visually this dye appears aqua to royal blue. Our FLT Blue line is our only food grade/food safe water tracing line. This dye is ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certified for use in drinking water. The most applicable uses for this dye are is food zones or with food contact surfaces.
