Carnauba, which is the highest melting point natural wax, can impart gloss, hardness, slip, and improved thermal stability to a variety of applications. It comes from the Carnauba palm that only grows in the northern and northeastern Brazil. Quality and color vary with the age of the leaves. The younger leaves provide the prime #1 yellow color, and the older ones provide the darker T-3 and T-4 wax.

Kostol TMC-25 is a behentrimonium chloride and cetearyl alcohol emulsifier with a 25% active level. This standard emulsifier is manufactured without isopropyl alcohol in the USA by Koster Keunen.

Bee's Milk is a natural dispersion of Beeswax in water. Bee's Milk makes it possible to 'Cold Formulate'. A formulator is able to get the benefits of Beeswax in a formulation without having to heat that phase of the formula. The lipid composition in Bee's Milk closely, mimics the natural lipid composition of the skin, thus copying the skin's own natural secretions, making Bee's Milk natures emollient. Bee's Milk is stabilized, and is compatible with surfactants and other compounds of high ionic strength.

Koster Keunen Bayberry Wax is obtained from the fruit of the bayberry shrub. This all-natural wax,native to Central and South America, consists predominantly of triglycerides with C-16 carbon chain lengths. Formulators will find the esthetics hard, brittle, and fatty to the touch.

Kostene C-30 is a low molecular weight polyethylene. When used in conjunction with volatile oils and solvents such as cyclomethicone, isopar and isododecane, it will act as a thickener and add hardness and slip to formulations.

Orange Wax is an all-natural semi-solid wax derived from the orange peel through our proprietary process. Kostol IBT-50 is a highly concentrated cationic emulsifying wax. Kostol IBT-50 works at low usage levels producing ideal hair conditioning properties. Our Kostol IBT-50 has been deodorized to have a very low odor which will reduce a formulations requirement for high loading of fragrances. Kostol IBT-50 produces emulsions with creamy and thick consistency.

Organic Vegan Emulsifying Wax is a blend of certified organic raw materials that produce emulsions over a wide range of concentrations acting as the primary or secondary emulsifier. This product is certified under the USDA’s National Organic Program (7 CFR part 205).

Kester Wax K-82P is a soft, pliable polyester wax. It has a unique plastic property that imitates the complex ester fraction of beeswax. K-82P suppresses the crystallization of other waxes while retaining high melt points.

Synthetic Paraffins are white, hard, high melt point waxes consisting of polymerized hydrocarbons that have been refined to high purity levels. Synthetic Paraffins are a mixture of saturated straight chain paraffinic hydrocarbons.

Kostol TBP is a high HLB emulsifier based on a blend of high molecular weight compounds. Formulators will find a light to medium break and some viscosity building.

Koster Keunen EU Ozokerite 164/171 has developed EU compliant petroleum waxes that meet Cosmetics Europe (formerly Colipa) and European Wax Federation standards. These EU compliant petroleum waxes have been designed to function in cosmetic applications the same way as the non-compliant material.

NaturalAtum® has been designed to replace petrolatum in personal care. It is an amorphous gel consisting of high molecular weight vegetable waxes dispersed into oils. NaturalAtum® does not contain petroleum hydrocarbon ingredients or hydrogenated vegetable oils, yet has physical and chemical properties similar to petrolatum.
