KURARAY POVAL™ 4-98 (formerly Mowiol® 4-98) by Kuraray is a fully saponified polyvinyl alcohol having varying degree of polymerization and hydrolysis. It is an odorless, water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It possesses good penetration capacity and good adhesion properties. It provides high cohesion, toughness, low electrostatic charging and re-dissolving capacity of the dried film in water. Its aqueous solution can be added to polymer emulsions already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol which affects the extension of the open time, setting speed and rheology. KURARAY POVAL™ L-508W by Kuraray is a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) specialty grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Exhibits high molecular weight, good cohesion, good adhesion to fibers-, fillers- and pigments. KURARAY POVAL™ L-508W is recommended for adhesive and suspending agent for PVC suspension polymerization.

KURARAY POVAL™ 23-88 EE by Kuraray is partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It provides good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It is suitable for modification of emulsion and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It is used as an adhesive promoter. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 23-88 EE can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is recommended for use in postage stamps and labels.

Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 44-88 S2 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is used in postage stamps and labels. Its shelf life is 12 months. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.

KURARAY POVAL™ 28-99 LA by Kuraray is a water-soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It exhibits high molecular weight, good cohesion and low ash (sodium acetate) content. It possesses good adhesion to fibers-, fillers- and pigments. KURARAY POVAL™ 28-99 LA is recommended for adhesive for flooring webs, PSA labels and also in remoistenable adhesives which are employed mainly in the paper processing industry and films applications.

Provides wetting properties on polar substances, good pigmentability, adhesiveness, low ash & VOC content and emulsifying property. KURARAY POVAL™ L 10 possible applications include adhesives, specialty papers, building materials and polymerization (emulsion/suspension). Meets SVHC.
