Elvanol™ 71-30 by Kuraray is a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It shows excellent resistance to oil, grease, water and solvents. It offers high tensile strength, flexibility, high oxygen barrier and film forming characteristics. On evaporation of water, transparent films are formed which have high tensile strength and tear resistance. The binder characteristics of Elvanol® 71-30 offer excellent adhesion to porous and hydrophilic surfaces. It is widely used in the paper industry at the size press and calendar stack, and in adhesives tackified with boric acid. Recommended for paper and paperboard, as a component in industrial adhesives for bonding paper, textiles, leather, in bag adhesives and pastes. It is also used in corrugated container board, laminating adhesives which are used in the manufacture of solid fiberboard, linear board, spiral wound tubes and cores and laminated specialties. It complies with FDA.

Kuraray Poval™ LM-10HD by Kuraray is an ultra-low saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. This grade is water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It is used in postage stamps and labels. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ LM-10 HD can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It can be stored for 12 months. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.

KURARAY POVAL™ L-9 by Kuraray is a porous, specialty polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) grade. Exhibits excellent water solubility, strong film-forming properties and oil & grease resistance. Provides wetting properties on polar substances, good pigmentability, adhesiveness, low ash & VOC content and emulsifying property. KURARAY POVAL™ L-9 possible applications include adhesives, specialty papers, building materials and polymerization (emulsion/suspension). Meets SVHC.

Mowiflex™ C 30 is Kuraray’s polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer compound for thermoplastic processing. MOWIFLEX™ is a nontoxic, biodegradable, water-soluble resin that forms clear, glossy films. It has high tensile strength and can be processed using conventional thermoplastic technologies (injection molding, 3D printing, etc.). It was designed to fit the requirements for Rapid Prototyping and is a versatile component. Moreover, MOWIFLEX™ can be colored, allowing processing as a highly concentrated masterbatch.

KURARAY POVAL™ L-9-78 by Kuraray is a porous, specialty polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) grade. Exhibits excellent water solubility, strong film-forming properties and oil & grease resistance. Provides wetting properties on polar substances, good pigmentability, adhesiveness, low ash & VOC content and emulsifying property. KURARAY POVAL™ L-9-78 possible applications include adhesives, specialty papers, building materials and polymerization (emulsion/suspension). Meets SVHC.

Kuraray Poval™ Poval LM-20 by Kuraray is an ultra-low saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. This grade is water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It is used as an adhesive promoter. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ LM-20 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is used in postage stamps and labels. The recommended shelf life of this grade is 12 months. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.

Kuraray Poval™ 200-88KX SB by Kuraray is polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade with varying degree of polymerization. It is used as a stabilizer for the emulsion polymerization of VAM and as a post additive for emulsion. The emulsion with PVOH provides high viscosity, mechanical stability, film strength and heat resistance. KURARAY POVAL™ 200-88 KX SB is recommended for use in modification of emulsion-, production of paper- and remoistenable adhesives. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.
