Kydex KYDEX

Kydex® FST is formulated to meet flammability and smoke development requirements, (FAR) 25.853 paragraphs (a) and (d) and toxicity requirements for Airbus (ABD0031) and Boeing (BSS7239).

KYDEX® FST

KYDEX® 6503 is an integral pearlescent product meeting all fire retardancy requirements set forth in Federal Aviation Regulations 25.853 paragraphs (a) and (d) (old (c)) including low heat release (65 / 65) in the OSU rate of heat release test. Its excellent properties make it the ideal material to form 2 and 3-dimensional aircraft components. Low heat release sheet with refined integral pearlescent effect developed to reflect and refract light. 

KYDEX® 6503

KYDEX® 100 is available in a wide range of standard and custom colors, textures, and sheet sizes. It is Underwriters Laboratories, Inc® recognized for UL Std 94 V-0, 5V and has 961 J/m (18 ft-lbs/in) Notched Izod impact resistance. A high impact, fire-rated alloy sheet that is tough, durable, proprietary, that brings new dimensions to thermoformers.

KYDEX® 100

KYDEX® 6200 meets both the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Federal Rail Administration (FRA) for smoke emission and flammability as tested under ASTM E-662 &amp; ASTM E-162. A proprietary, high performance, fire-rated thermoplastic sheet designed for use in mass transit vehicles such as subways, vans, busses and trains.

KYDEX® 6200

Kydex® 152WG is super-tough sheet brings new dimensions to membrane pressers in extensibility, rigidity, abrasion resistance and fire retardancy. Available in thirteen esthetically pleasing wood grain patterns; each substrate color is custom matched to compliment the wood grain cap. KYDEX® 152WG is rated Class I/A when tested according to the ASTM E-84, the Steiner Tunnel Test and V-0 when tested to UL STD 94.

KYDEX® 6565 meets all fire retardancy requirements set forth in Federal Aviation Regulations 25.853 paragraphs (a) and (d) (old (c)) including low heat release (65/65) in the OSU rate of heat release test. High performance, thermoplastic sheet specifically formulated to meet low heat release requirements for aviation interiors. 

KYDEX® 6565

Kydex® 110 is a fire-rated metallic sheet that is tough, durable and proprietary that brings new dimensions to thermoformers.

KYDEX® 110

Kydex® XD is a superior impact, membrane pressable thermoplastic 3D laminate with integral color from 0.76mm-1.02mm (0.030”-0.040”) thickness. A thermoplastic 3D laminate giving designers the ability to incorporate compound corners, logos and wire management holes, eliminating unsightly seams and the need for edgebanding typically associated with HPL/TFM surfaces.

KYDEX® XD

KYDEX® 6185 meets FAR 25.853 (a) for use in aircraft interior parts. Maximum recommended service temperature is approximately 85 - 90°C (185 - 190°F) depending on thermoforming technique and application. KYDEX® 6185 is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet with improved heat distortion temperature (HDT) for higher in-service temperatures while providing excellent extensibility, good impact resistance and excellent solvent resistance.

KYDEX® V103 is Underwriter’s Laboratories, Inc® recognized Std 94 V-0, 5V. It has thermoforming cycle times equivalent to FR-ABS. Suggested Applications Equipment Housings; Exhibits & Displays. A recycled grade of a proprietary thermoplastic sheet that is cost competitive with other grades of thermoplastic sheets while offering improved performance.
