Lansperse RPS11

1 of 23 products in this brand
Lansperse RPS11 is a new addition to our range of rapeseed biobased products. Rapeseed is an environmentally sustainable crop, and our products are derived from it. Utilizing our proprietary BioLoop technology, Lansperse RPS11 employs two hydrophobes that attach to particle surfaces, providing stabilization for effective dispersing action.

Functions: Dispersant

Chemical Family: Non-Ionics

End Uses: Waterborne Coating

Labeling Claims: Bio-based, Biodegradable

Solid Content: 100.0 - 100.0 %

Applications & Uses

Coating Type
Applications
  • Initial work has concentrated on testing these products as highly effective dispersing agents for aqueous systems. Colored iron oxides are only second in volume to TiO2 used in architectural coatings and are traditionally difficult to stabilize. The red iron oxides (Pigment Red 101) have high densities of around 5.0g/cm3 and are prone to settle over a period of time. Lansperse RPS11 appears to wet and stabilize a high pigment concentrate (60%) dispersion with no increase in viscosity in a binder-free aqueous system.
  • Also, Lansperse RPS11 show promise in systems based on Pigment Yellow 74 and carbon black (Pigment Black 7).
