Anionic surfactants are negatively charged materials that are available in a variety of chemical types. The main classes being alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl sulfates, alkylbenzene sulfonates, alpha olefin sulfonates, phosphate esters. They are used in a wide range of applications where they provide useful characteristics including, emulsification, solubilisation, wetting, detergency, dispersion and foaming.

Nonionic surfactants carry no electrical charge and are available in a variety of chemical types. The main classes are alcohol ethoxylates, alcohol ethoxylates/propoxylates, ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymers, castor oil ethoxylates, amine ethoxylates, fatty acid esters and their ethoxylates. They are used in a wide range of applications where they provide useful characteristics including  emulsification, solubilisation, wetting, dispersion, detergency, foaming and defoaming.

Emulsion concentrates (EC) formulations rely on effective emulsifiers to produce spontaneous stable emulsions providing rapid and uniformed dispersion in the spray tank. Lankem offers a broad range of single emulsifiers for use in the formulation of EC’s plus a range of mixed pair emulsifiers that greatly reduce the complexity of producing an effective emulsifier system.

BioLoop surfactants have been designed to offer the formulator a wide range of options based on selection of products that range from hydrophobic to more hydrophilic types. These products can be used in many applications and perform against standard synthetic nonionics such as commonly used alcohol ethoxylates. Amphoteric surfactants can carry a positive or negative charge depending on pH, whereas cationic surfactants carry a positive charge. There are a number of chemical types for amphoteric surfactants including betaines, amidopropyl betaines, alkylamino dipropionates. They are used in a wide range of applications where they provide useful characteristics such as foaming, solubilisation, antistatic.

Lansurf AEP66 is a biodegradable nonionic surfactant produced by the reaction of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide on a synthetic primary fatty alcohol. This product is compatible with soaps, anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants, and wetting, detergency and low foam. This product finds application in many cleaning applications where low foaming is required such a machine dishwash applications, metal cleaning and bottle rinse formulations. Also, this product can be used in such areas as textiles, oils and lubricants, agrochemicals and paints and polymers.

BioLoop 68L-PG is a new range of bio-based surfactants containing components that are 100% renewable. This product is based on a hydrophilic loop reacted onto a vegetable oil hydrophobe, and being palm oil free has a good sustainability profile. Unlike many bio-based surfactants, this product offers excellent surfactant properties and can be used as a green alternative to the conventional synthetic nonionics, such as alcohol ethoxylate.

Kemsurf PWS is Based on a linear high 2-phenyl based alkylate. Isopropylamine salts have better solubility in hydrocarbon solvents compared to sodium salts.

Kemsurf ASC is a sodium neutralized alkyl ether sulfate and finds application where foaming, wetting and detergency are required. Kemsurf ASC has good stability in the presence of high electrolyte and hard water environments. Also the product is tolerant to mildly alkaline solutions at ambient temperatures, but tends to hydrolyse in acidic solutions.

Agrosurf BPE211-EH is a powerful balanced pair emulsifier used in conjunction with Agrosurf BPE148-EH. Once the correct ratios are established these two emulsifiers can be used for a wide range of emulsifiable concentrates across many different pesticide types.

Kemsurf OPA is an anionic surfactant produced by the sulphonation of oleic acid across the double bonds. This unique molecule exhibits extremely fast foam break within 30 seconds in high agitation systems. The foam breaks so quickly that foaming is virtually eliminated.

Lansperse SL18-HA is a Dispersing agents are used extensively in the coatings industry to help disperse solid particles into a liquid medium. Dispersing agents perform by the anchoring of the surfactant onto the particle substrate and then acting as a barrier to stop re-agglomeration of the particles. This concept is often referred to as steric stabilization. The new hyperdispersant has three functions, firstly a powerful amine anchoring group that latches onto the pigment substrate, secondly a tail section that floats within the solvent medium and thirdly a capping group that further enhances steric hindrance between pigment particles. Lansperse SL18-HA is a 100% active product.
